An Airbus Engineering Apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to gain qualifications with no fees, whilst acquiring new skills through vocational training, and a regular salary.

This exciting programme is your first step towards becoming an Engineer for one of the most advanced Engineering & Aerospace Companies. As an Apprentice within Manufacturing Engineering at Airbus you will gain a EAL Level 4 Diploma in Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing, as well as a BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Engineering upon completion of our 40 month programme. As a Manufacturing Engineering Apprentice, you will study with our Educational Training Partner to achieve your qualifications, and your industry based work takes place at our world leading aircraft manufacturer site in Filton, Bristol.

What will you be doing?

Filton Plant’s Manufacturing Engineering is at the heart of all tasks, working with all functions, realising the design intent into production means, whether that is production support, developing new technologies for cost reduction/efficiency improvement to working on new product introduction.

Your placements can cover Operations, Technical and Support Functions: working on projects such as A400M, A350 Metallic Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) and research and technology.

Filton Plant Manufacturing Engineering is a pioneering, innovative team of experienced engineers covering a wide range of projects from current production projects through to research and technology for our future products.

If you enjoy taking on a challenge without predefined solutions, taking full accountability of the delivery of projects and learning as part of the process, whilst being at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing then this role could be for you.

We cover a wide range of subjects, from strategy, production support, project management, Additive manufacturing, programming, manufacturing technologies, digitisation, Lean and production planning, giving a wide spectrum of opportunity across a variety of wing related subjects.

About you!

Successful candidates must have:

  • 112+ combined UCAS points, including A-Level Grade C minimum in Mathematics and two other A-levels in science based subjects, or
  • BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in an Engineering Subject at minimum grade DMM

And

  • Minimum GCSE Grade 5/C English, and Grade 5/C Maths
  • Or equivalent qualifications
