Job Description Summary The UK AH-64 Apache T700/701D Performance Based Logistics (PBL) Business Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In the role of Business Leader, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, contract renewal and business development opportunities, as well as contribute to the overall business strategy. The UK T700 PBL is critical to UK military customer readiness goals. The Business Leader is the primary point of contact with assigned customers and owns the customer’s experience regarding all contract interactions.

  • Optimize depot operations for customer and suppliers
  • Provide technical and team leadership for UK-based Maintenance and Repair Organization (MRO) implementation at H+S or other shops as required
  • Establish repair schedules and program direction to achieve forecasted workload
  • Manage workload to achieve sub-assembly and piece part repair cost and schedule commitments
  • Manage rotable components flow, level loading and inventory levels to support MRO turn-around times.
  • Participate in the development and communication of contract deliverables and engine status reports
  • Assist in determining hardware “pass vs. fail” criteria and develop hardware “repair vs. buy” rational
  • Recommend and support limit expansion, leading indicator and reliability programs in response to hardware condition inspections and data collection
  • Liaison between H+S, component MROs, GE CPM, FSR and repair engineering
  • Manage component MRO activity
  • Coordinate the evaluation of unserviceable hardware to identify material distress and root cause
  • Assist in determining hardware “pass vs. fail” criteria and develop hardware “repair vs. buy” rational
  • Recommend and support limit expansion, leading indicator and reliability programs in response to hardware condition inspections and data collection
  • Provide total program leadership including GE support functions and organizations
  • Provide coordination with the customer ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for the Contract Margin Review process and associated profitability metrics
  • Responsible for contract flow down and the development of program plans related to the contract performance process
  • Represent GE in business and contractual discussions with customer
  • Review invoices for assigned accounts and collect cash in a timely manner
  • Achieve productivity goals by contract or product
  • Organize and support program and technical reviews with customers
  • Determine and flow down customer shop visit forecasts
  • Coordinates within the GE matrix to achieve customer satisfaction, readiness goals, and business metrics
  • Must be willing to travel internationally – expectation will be for 10% travel

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Customer and Program Management
  • Possess or be able to obtain a UK Security Clearance

Desired Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, logistics, or business
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Familiar with or experience in managing long-term customer service agreements
  • Familiar with or experience managing military aircraft maintenance/sustainment (AH-64 and UH-60 preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills
  • Experience in fleet management and logistics.
  • Awareness of basic technical aspects of turbo shaft propulsion
