Job Description:

Reporting to the Stores Manager the Trainee Stores Assistant will assist in the control of parts and tooling to the aircraft engineering teams.  The Trainee Stores Assistant will need confidence, accuracy and the ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner.  The Trainee Assistant will learn to be proactive in warehousing skills and procedures, part accountability and stock rotation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The control of tooling to engineering workforce to ensure “Tool Control” is compliant.
  • The skills to complete a compliant “goods in inspection” on receipt of aviation parts.
  • The completion of general warehouse administration and other tasks.
  • The ability to correctly “identify airworthiness” receipt paperwork when receiving parts.
  • General warehousing housekeeping and procedures.
  • The correct storage and distribution of components iaw with manufacturing directions.
  • The accurate selection of parts from stock to enable engineering to conduct maintenance.
  • The monitoring of shelf-life items, stock rotation and tyre rotation as regulated.
  • The electronic recording of part transactions using the companies IT systems.
  • The skills to accurately store aviation parts iaw with Health and Safety and CAA regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • A willingness to learn, be self-motivated and responsive to the needs of the team.
  • Must be computer literate and accurate.
  • Have the capability to work in a warehouse environment.
  • Have the aptitude accurately grasp new processes and procedures.
  • Must have a driving license to enable the completion of a forklift course.
